Pursuant to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements the East Chicago Housing Authority (ECHA) is under the definition of “Substantial Deviation” and “Significant Amendment or Modification” Final Rule 903.7(r)(2) the East Chicago Housing Authority (ECHA) has amended its 2020 Annual and 5-Year Plan. The amendment represents a “Significant Amendment or Modification” to the Admissions and Continued occupancy Policy (ACOP). This amendment to the ACOP incorporates changes for years 2020. Also under HUD requirements listed in 24 CFR Part 903.17 and 24 CFR Part 905, ECHA is conducting a public hearing to discuss ECHA’s 2021 Annual Plan (“Plan”) and Update to Five Year Plan 2020 – 2024, Amendment to the ECHA ACOP, Amendment to the Section 8 Administrative Plan, and the 2021 Capital Fund Plan/Updated 5-Year Capital Fund Plan and COVID19 Adjusted Date.
ECHA’s 2021 Plan, & 2020-2024 – 5-Year Plan Update; Amendment to the ECHA ACOP, Amendment to the Section 8 Administrative Plan, and 2021 Capital Fund Plan/Updated 5-Year Capital Fund Plan will be available to the public for review/comment, beginning Monday, August 31, 2020, through Monday, October 31, 2020, from 9:00am–12 pm and 1pm-3:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, at the East Chicago Housing Authority 4444 Railroad Ave., East Chicago, IN. Comments must be in writing and submitted to the above address by 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020.
